Sunday 3rd April 2011, we couldn’t ask for a better weather for a game of golf. Temperature around 24 degrees with light breeze and moderate sun shine. A totally different scene if the game was held on its original scheduled wet weekend of 20th March 2011. On the event day, shot gun tee-off started at 1 PM, with 40 players joined in and ready tackle the 18 holes of Moore Park Golf Course.

This event was organized by Indonesian Golf Association (IGA) Sydney with initiation by the new Consular General of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Gary Jusuf, which for his love of the sport and community he wanted to have regular social event like this where he can mingle with Indonesian golf community in Sydney.

The winner for raffle ticket of Sydney – Jakarta return airfare by Garuda Indonesia is Hansen Ang.

The committee would also acknowledge participation of Jessica Widarma being the only female player competing against the hard hitting male players in this event with 81 strokes result. We hope in the future that our events can attract more female participants.

Our aim is for participants to have fun and more fun, and as the tradition of golf events by IGA Sydney, more than half of the participants went home with trophies, prizes and lucky draw winnings such as gift cards and airline ticket.
