Commemorating the 68th Independence Day of The Republic of Indonesia, initiated by The Consul General Mr. Gary Jusuf, Indonesian Golf Association – Sydney organised a social golf competition at Moore Park Golf Course on the 13th October 2013, where about 52 players took parts which followed by presentation dinner at the Consulate General Office in Maroubra.

Starting shotgun tee-off at 1.30 PM, the participants were faced with a quite challenging environment where they needed to endure 36 degrees weather with strong wind. Nevertheless, everyone had fun and it was a successful event.

We would like to acknowledge our distinguished players and guests; The Consul General of Vietnam Mr. Phuc Dung Mai, and Consul General of Philippines Miss Anne Jalando-on Louis, and our very own’s Mr. Gary Jusuf. We also would like to thank our event sponsors; Netfare Travel, Garuda Indonesia and Mr. Gary Jusuf himself.

This particular event is special for us because for the first time we also had juniors playing; and they are Arki Valdy, Angela Prajogo and Ryan Wihardja. We would like to encourage more and more juniors to join our social golf events.
