Indonesian Golf Association Sydney has successfully held an Open Championship on 5 November 2017 at Liverpool Golf Club.
The event had 64 (sixty four) golfers from different cultural communities in Sydney; Philippines Golf Association (FILOZ) and Thai Golf Association players were participating as well.
Mr Gary Jusuf an avid golf player currently serving as an Indonesian Ambassador for Fiji, Mr Dicky Soerjatnamihardja Vice Consular General Republic Indonesia in Sydney and Mr Freddy Gondowibowo from Indonesia Golf Association Pondok Indah Jakarta were also present and played in this event.
The event started with mid-day light shower and the weather didn’t affecting the spirit of golfers. The open match concluded with evening dinner entertained with Balinese dancers and winners presentation.
The winners and runners-up of the day were:
- Group A Winner : Roland Cheng (35 SB points)
- Group A Runner-up : Colin Thompson (33 SB points)
- Group B Winner : Antony Ramos (46 SB points)
- Group B Runner-up : Beni Tumbel (43 SB points)
Mr Hendrick Muljana (IGA President) and Mr Dinky Baso (IGA Honorary member) thanked for all the players, organisers, both private and corporate sponsors for the success of the event. In particularly Allen W Mechanical, Indomedia and Bulletin Tabloids, HSBC Bank .
